Hi guys i posted a while back with a problem on my car (1994 FD).
When i boot my car every now and again i hear what can only be described as a metal tapping scraping sound (it isnt rythmic its eratic and only ever happens when i push the gas to the floor and when i hit full boost). I swear to god its engine knock, but ive been told if it was knock the engine would already be dead. Its defintaly something to do with either the engine or the turbos, but since this is a new engine and another set of 2nd hand turbos this year and i still have the same sound im at a loss. I feel like any minute the engine is gonna let go, the reason i posted today was because the scraping noise happend again but this time the car bucked for a second when i heard the sound??

Symtoms are always the same,,,always under full load full boost,,,,never any other time.
Car has full exaust ,airfilters,, large M2 intercooler, and tuned apexi power FC.

One other thing ive noticed is it happens alot more on a hot day than a cold day,,,maybe this means something?

Any help at all guys,,,anyone with similar symptoms cures?

Yeah. If it was knocking that much, your engine probably would have been gone by now. However, it is still possible to knock that much and still have a running engine.

You have a PFC. Look at your knock numbers. Id also bring the car to a rotary mechanic/tuner and stop boosting till then.
