Knock knock

I just seen this picture of the knock sensor mounting. Mine is in the most rear rotor housing. I didnt put the engine in and im trying to fix all the 10000 errors from the previous owner. I was wondering is the sensor for sure supposed to be in the first housing like in the photo or is this for a custom set up

It's supposed to be in the front housing.

I don't know if it really matters in one spot or the other but the factory location is the front housing. Probably doesn't make a difference but it's worth putting in the "correct" spot.

Yeah im sure its been working but i haven't been able to get the connector plugged in. At first the clown i bought the car from had the knock sensor plugged into the power steering connector. Its the same connector lol. I made a wire that goes from the KS to the connector to get rid of my CEL. I thought somehow the engine harness was routed wrong and thats why i couldnt get it to reach lol now i should be able to plug it in
