My FD stock only had the 3k rpm hesitation if I gave it too much gas before it warmed up (didnt think it ever had it till that moment of bad judgement.)

Its probably some double throttle/warmup mapping in the stock ecu that cars get stuck in due to mechanical fault (double throttle, thermostat, upgrade radiator) and/or coolant temp sensor drift.

I still got a KS EBSIII boost controller in a box somewhere, with your rich tune you could bump up the boost a little
i didn't really nail this down so i didn't post about it, but i was playing with the TPS on mine and i could get the hesitation to go away or get really bad.

I recall looking at one of those patch harnesses some years ago (for a lost less money...) IIRC there is a difference with the later ECM that affects the electrical load detector so idle speed isn't bumped up that could cause a problem. Can't recall exactly though, might work great.

Good question, I have never even checked the TPS setting on my 1995. I really should too considering all the poorly thought out mods that I have found and undone back to stock over the years. But, for now at least, the KS tuning (or, maybe the JDM Mazda hardware with the "C" revision spec) have totally resolved the issue.
