Can't remember 100% what they told me.
I belive it had something to do with the type of welding performed ...

nope........ur wrong. It has to do with the body number of ur FD whether ur body number starts with a E or a G
example E-FD3S or GF-FD3S........

I bought mine for 52489JPY+1400JPY for carriage charges+367JPY Banking charge=54256JPY

which comes to $474 without shipping costs.

Ok, the bigger question is what is the difference between body E & G?

I apologize for the bad memory and appreciate the clarification tahmid.

For the BS remark. Here's your answer.
I have a US model FD ('94) and KS sent me the E-FD3S

yep.......thats what i could figure out........the year of manufacture......however does anyone know whats the difference between E and GF models??? like CCarlisi
said before?? my hunch would be that the bend on the pipes of the CAT should be a little different..........or could be because of the air pump line being in a different angle or sumthing..........neways just my few cents.........

ok, well i havent heard anything from jason! so it looks like we will be going with corksport. i have money in hand... who is with me. so its going to be $589 (this thing looks pretty damn light, and is supposed to flow almost as well as a midpipe, should last much longer since its made of metal, and its only 89 more than a creamic HF cat) and remember if we get enough people together then *they will ship them for free*

so who is with me?? lets do this, cause i need a new cat NOW!

Shouldn't this be moved to the Group Buy area to get more attention?

ok last call.... TOMOROW (friday) is the absolute deadline for ordering one of these things. the way that it is going to work is-> you need to phone corksport to place an order by 4PM pacific standard time. if you call after that you are sh*t out of luck. their phone number is: 503.252.5700 tell them you want the knightsports cat. i think thats about it.....

ill PM everyone that expressed interest .... hopefully you all will get this info in time for the deadline TOMOROW! -heath

RotorMotor, what did you find out about the higher performance one? Which one is pictured earlier in the thread in what appears to be stainless steel? (and most importantly, which one was tested to give the hp/ps numbers we saw earlier?)

Nevermind, just got my questions answered by Derek. I am order #3 - he says he would like two more orders before the discounts will kick in. He also said that the pipe (pictured above) is complete with all gaskets and the block off plate for the sensor as OC stated earlier.

Here's hoping the increased flow will not be excessive and cause boost spikes!

The "pro" version, according to Derek at Corksport is specifically made for a Japanese race series which requires a catalytic converter(imagine that? )
The implication is that it will flow better but the question is whether it will have enough catalytic function to be able to pass smog inspection and also whether it will last.

heres hoping it will! i have to pull my turbos off for a rebuild anyway, so ill give the WG a little porting. oh yeah (and dont quote me on this cause i was talking to the corksport guy on the phone as i was running out of the door) but im pretty sure he said the cat weighs... get this... like 12lbs or something. (i may or may not be remembering this correctly, but im pretty sure thats what he said) ... any last takers? damn i want 2 of them now.....

^ or whether it's worth the price. When you're racing for big money you'll pay big money for the winning edge.
