HAHA, accent!


Now, about the cover. I SECOND that the cover looks nice, since it does clean up the look of the engine bay, but now, that it has been said to retain heat, that seems to be a bigger negative than positives coming from chassis stiffness.

I think that's people being overly concerned. The natural airflow through the engine bay does not normally provide a source for air evacuation from the rear 1/3 of the engine bay. We're not doing the "remove the weatherstripping from the rear and prop up the rear of the hood" method, which in fact was tested and proven to NOT work.

Most of the air exchange in the engine bay happens around the front portion where you have ducts in the undertray to allow air to escape. Ditto with running vented hoods, which typically feature fents in the front as well.

So again, not so much that the point is unfounded, but more along the lines that I think ppl are making it out to be a greater concern than it really is.
