Question Very noob question (boost gauge tubing)

Hello. What size diameter hose does one need to connect a boost gauge to the intake manifold nipple on an FD? Im about to fly out of town to test drive/buy an FD and i will need to already have the hose with me. I searched but there are so many posts about vacuum lines relating to the sequential system, i didnt see anything helpful.

thanx

Yikes. I don't know off hand what size it is, but I could point to it in a store. I think it's a 3/16 nipple (or thereabouts).

The nipple on the manifold will take a 3.5-4mm hose. The boost gauge on the other hand may not. Some gauges, like Autometer gauges, use a smaller tube from the gauge itself which you need to "adapt" to a 3.5-4mm vacuum line. So with that, it really depends on the gauge you will be trying to use.
