I've noticed that the rear clunking *seems* to be gone, but I'll need to drive it a bit more to find out for sure. I'm going to Infineon on Monday, so I should hopefully have some feedback after that event. So far, I'm very pleased with the product.

The ONE downside I have for the brace is the weight. It's gotta weigh a solid 20-30 lbs, but for what you pay, I think it's worth it.

Really? I coulda sworn it weighed more, but yeah I guess the awkward shape of it made it feel heavier.

I gotta start working out.

Okay got back from Infineon for a day and a half (started pouring and wasn't worth running anymore). The rear end definitely feels more planted when accelerating out of corners, but that could just be my imagination obviously. The one thing I did notice was noticable vibrations being felt in upper rpms (~6000), which I didn't mind too much, but I'm just curious as to what it may be. I also have an engine torque brace, so the combo is wonderful...very very solid shifts, but I'm thinking that all that solidification is causing the vibrations. I'll probably try adjusting the engine torque brace a bit to see if that fixes it, but I was wondering if any of you other diff brace users experienced this?

Just wanted to add to my original thread on this brace:

I installed it on my track car today and man, what a difference. The track car would studder when starting from a stop and if you let the clutch out to quick from a stop you would 'hop' along until you got rolling. Today I tested the brace and it removed the hop totally, the car either goes or bogs based on how well I have the rmp going, but no more hop. It felt great, really tighted up the back. Could barely tell a slight noise increase, but on the track car the exhaust drowns out everything :-)

Anyway, another round of props to Keith for a nice brace.

By the way I do have a new unused dif brace for sale if anyone wants it. The one on my track car is staqying there, but the one I got for my street car I decided to leave off since it will be getting Jim's dif bushings installed soon.

I know this is a old thread, but just installed the KGparts Brace and was wondering if anyone actually install urethane washer between the brace and the frame. And if so did it help with howl above 5K rpm. Previous to the install my 7 was super quiet due to RB exhaust system, love the brace hate the howl in the interior. I've only driven the car a few miles since the install.
