One last question for you guys to think about. These both are "braces". Both support the diff, but which one prevents the diff case from cracking? Neither, hense why I said the PFS girdle is the way to go.

 

I'd be curious to know what the second part of the brace is? Or how/where it connects to the frame?

 

Not sure, but if you go on the PFS thead, Nuvalri? just bought it and is posting pics of the whole setup.

Our brace is fabricated using 1/4" (.250") Steel Plate and 3/8" (.375") Steel Rod.

Well unlike "some people" on here I have ran both KG and Banzai's diff braces. The KG worked for me but Banzai's worked just as well, plus it didn't add 15lbs to my car.
The KG brace still allowed some shake in the rear, but with the Banzai I have had zero shake. Plus I would call neither braces junk, just different approaches.

 

Im not trying to get into a pissing match. I race more than most. I make more torque then most make in power. As such I have BROKEN more than most, lol..With that comes knowledge as well. I don't have to fall to know it hurts. I've use two out of the three braces mentioned. When the third mentioned brace has no direct support on the one side and the steel curls around, almost in a darn loop, it has no benefit. If you do not want to crack your diff case, then you only have one choice. Thats pretty much it. Im only trying to prevent others from the mistakes I've already made.

The brace you think so highly of that you have to criticize others costs nearly twice as much and probably weighs twice as much. Of course I'm just guessing, since you refused to address that question in the other thread. And while it apparently does what it was designed to do, it's just as apparent that it's over-kill for the vast majority of owners here. Likewise we have positive testimonials for the Banzai brace. It seems like it's you who've put your panties on backwards because everyone isn't bowing to your god-like drag racing experience and jumping on the PFS diff-girdle bandwagon. I'm actually in the market for a brace and had been searching and following this and other threads. I probably wouldn't have gone with the PFS for the reasons stated above. Your posts just cinched it.

 

Additionally, some moderator/super moderator thought it would be funny (or just in their best interest) to delete our Banzai Racing Diff brace thread that contained several months and 4 pages of useful info. HMMM?

And right after it was posted in by the OP of this thread, how ironic.

I think you've got me pegged wrong, but whatever. Your thread was in violations. I don't know why so I put it back.

 

It was never in violation of any forum rules until now. A few moments ago, it was just put in the 3rd gen section after being deleted , when it was originally in the 3rd gen for sale section.

I have the Banzai brace and its the ****!! I noticed a huge diference after installation. Car felt way stiffer and alot less noise as well. The bazai brace is totally worth the money A+++.

For the record I am not a professional racer and don't ever think I will become one. But this post started with a question "KG Diff Brace or Banzai?? " , my vote is for the pretzel, no I mean the Banzai.

I'm in the low 300rwhp range with hopes of 400rwhp. With Diff. bushings, toe-links, and trailing arms. I get a solid launch with no wheel hop. I have also driven a FD with same set up with over twice the power and it had just as solid of a feel. For the price, weight, and range of use, banzai is the way to go.

I hope the guy who started this thread fines this info useful and good luck with your purchase.

 

ok, so how about the banzai, the kg parts one and the PFS brace all together... there, problem solved and everyone is happy

 

I did not notice any difference in drive train noise.
