Greddy wouldn't make the oil filter just like Mazdaspeed wouldn't. They would just rebadge it as their own. I used Mobile1 for a long time (ocasionaly K&N) but switched to Purolator Pure1 because it's about the same price as OEM and ususally rated in the top 3 but 1/2 the price. Pep Boys normally carries one in stock. Damn, this thread is old "lol".

what is wrong with mazda stock blue filters?
on my recent rebuild ( ~ 10xxx on it ) it has seen track use ( 1-2 hours sessions ) daily driving and the daily running hard as well , never any presure issues .. start up problems .. nothing ...
is OEM not good enough ?

all made by Champion and all good filters, but the K&N does not use synthetic media like the Mobil 1 does
I'm amazed at how small the filter housing is on these cars, if the fuel dilution wasn't so bad, I would consider running an oversize bypass filter to extend oil service life
