Are My Turbos Leaking? @.@

It first started with a small amount of oil on the garage floor. I didn't really think much of it. I just thought it was a minor oil pan leak. But the other day I was checking my air filter and I noticed that there was oil around the filter element. I unhooked the hoses and found that there was oil coming from the lower big intake hose. Then I crawled under the car and noticed a lot of oil on the passenger side of the subframe and motor mounts.

Here are some pics. Are my turbos leaking!? Or could it be something else like the oil nozzles?

A small amount of oil in the intake is normal.
The PCV system is designed to vent blowby into the primary turbo intake under boost.
From the first pic, it looks there is oil sweat is on the drivers side? Is that where the puddle forms on the floor.
The pics of the turbos seem okay.

The drivers side of the subframe is clean, whereas the passengers side is covered in oil (see pic). The rear turbo is all dirty, but the front turbo is clean. I added the front turbo photo just for comparison sake.

It sounds like an internal turbo shaft oil seal leak on the compressor side of the rear turbo. My 94 has had similar symptoms for years -- I get a little oil on the external rear turbo housing, dripping down onto the subframe and oil pan. It accumulates over time, but I don't get more than a drop or two on the floor. But more oil is leaking inside the turbo into the intake plumbing. Oil pools in the cavities and low spots of the intake pipes. Oil will leak out or get blown out during boost if the pipe connections aren't tight.

Do you get a little oil smoke from the tailpipe on cold starts or when you first get on the boost?

I get a normal amount of white smoke on cold starts, it goes away in a few seconds. It there an easier way to track down oil leaks? I was thinking about just going in and taking the UIM off and just look around seeing if I can find leaks. Is there a better way?

Pulling of the UIM is a lot of work, and it may not tell you much.

First, just try wiping off as much oil as you can from the turbo housings, oil pan, heat shield, subframe, etc. Then run the engine for a while without driving the car and see if you can spot the highest point on the engine where oil is coming from.

If that doesn't tell you where the leak is from, I would remove the ductwork between the intercooler and the Y pipe. You can look down into the Y pipe and see if one turbo or the other is throwing more oil into the intake system. If, as I suspect, the rear turbo seal is leaking internally and passing oil into the intercooler ductwork, that branch of the Y pipe will be very oily compared to the branch leading from the front turbo.
