its because you removed your airpump. you have to increase your idle by a little.

Does the idle increase because of removing it from the belt, or because the airpump is not connected to the cat, just curious from anyone who has done the mod.

Idles goes to **** with the airpump removed whether you have a cat, a midpipe, or no exhaust at all. IF your only problem is LOW idle (which I highly doubt), you can turn the idle screw under the elbow on the throttle body.

Unless you have a programmable ECU, you have to use the idle screw adjustments to raise the idle with a stock or rechipped ECU when removing the airpump.

FYI- Running a cat with no airpump will shorten the life of you cat immensely. You should really only remove the airpump if you have a midpipe.
