Just swapped harness... not starting right up... ? HELP!

Well just did the main wiring harness and its cranking but only kicked on once... ran like it was bogging down. I have an extra connector on the harness right behind the alternator... its not on my other harness...? Anyone have any ideas on this? I'm pretty confident I had everything hooked up correctly. I'm even on a single so I don't need half the crap thats in there... just injectors... C/A sensor, some emmissions junk on the UIM, the two connectors on the side of the motor, water stuff, tranny connectors, 02 sensor, that one connector next to the P/S pump... that should be it for that harness. I noticed that the connectors by the ECU... one of the ones that connected to the blue connector down there has now been switched to a white male connector instead of the blue one? sound right?

THANKS FOR ANY HELP!!!

Two emmissions harness connectors...

New white harness in place of blue one... (Male)
Also small connector (White) any ideas?

I heard that this black one has to do w/ the fans....

I think the blue one had to do w/ CA emmissions... also I have a couple of solenoid connectors left..

What is the one on the right for... its strapped down to the harness... I'm stumped on this one...!

is the connector behind the alternator for the purge solenoid? thats my guess

and also, check to see that you didn't switch the 2 green connectors. One is the fuel thermosensor and the other is the coolant temp sensor. They are both green and fit and can be switched.

Ok well I yanked my UIM looking for some wire thats not where it needs to be.

Here is an extra black connector by the ECU...

Harness thats switched colors...

Extra Black and White connectors...

Here are the extras where some solenoids used to be...
The green one is supposed to be disconnected.

Thanks,

Is this a brand new harness, cause i don't recall most of them colors being on mineI just wired mine yesterday. Are they changing colors on newer harnesses?
You didn't swap from a AT to a MT did you?

man I could swear you have the wrong green conncetor on the coolant level sensor thats why the buzzer wont stop going off.

you should run a line directly from your fpr to the nipple on the lim facing the firewall (dashside)

you want to have the fpr hooked up right or you will know it

There is also a small connector that just BARELY sticks out of a harness over on the drivers side of the engine. It behind the ps pump. When people do engine swaps 75% of them miss this plug and it causes thier buzzer to never turn off.

I wish I should tell you better where it is but its hard to describe. Its also a small conncector.

SPO that was the plug causing me the trouble... the male part of the connector was loose inside the clip... so I had to de- and re attach it w/ a different clip... used the one that usually goes to the low coolant sensor on the front of the water housing (I'm on a 1-2 gen one w/ a different connector.
Thanks everyone!
