Just put it in. I dont know how your tranny feels but my original tranny felt like ***. Like for instance coming from a 15mph to a stop I couldn't even stick it in 1st without it grinding. It doesn't even do that anymore. I also had problems power sifting into 3rd from 2nd and now it just slides right in. No more 5th gear problems and I noticed that shift from 4th to 5th there was about a 400rpm drop vs 800. Overall Im happy. Took a while to install though. about 7 hrs total because I had to get several tools I didn't have.

I just ordered a J-spec tranny from him today.....I didn't realize I would have to get extensions and such....Can you explain....were did you get the parts to finish the job (Home Depot?)

Since Lupe hasn't seen the inside of a stockish engine bay since he last changed usernames, he forgets that on a stock car the top bellhousing bolts are a bear to reach. So the best way is to use a wobble socket and a 18" extension. With that you can get to them from under the car, by running the extension along the length of the tranny.
