just powdercoating some things *pics*

i'm just wrapping up r71's monster engine we're building, and wow...it looks awesome

we did the iron's wrinkle black and the rotor housings reflective chrome w/ coat of clear (dulls it a little) and the front cover chrome as well

amazing what powder can do, i also did my tranny bell housing chrome on outside w/ coat of clear and wrinkle black on inside

so question is, who wants to see pics?

i bet haters get on here and tell me i'm going to screw something up

masking and protecting threaded oil lines, etc was a pain in the ***, but in the end it was worth it

the engine builder is just worried about the heat (450F~) warping the rotor housings....i doubt it will and steve kan agreed it wouldn't

r71 is planning on some record breaking #'s with this motor

The haters will say even with a fast connection your pics are really too big to deal with. I've got a 21" monitor and I still have to pan to see the entire pic.

Chop those suckers down a little eh?

You mean screw something up like I did my brake calipers that you insisted wouldn't hold up to brake cleaner or fluid? Just kidding. Just FYI it stood up to brake cleaner and brake fluid just fine. Of course I didn't soak them in it either

Powdering looks pretty good. Is it the high-temp chrome that Eastwood sells?

it's "reflective chrome" by eastwood, not high temp, no need for high temp

call eastwood, brake cleaner/fluid will decompose the powder complex, along with acetone (with a lot of time) and methylene chloride
