thats normal. the FMIC is blocking the air going into your radiator. "jetlag" reported an 8-10 degree celcius increase in temp while driving in hot weather traffic. (he has no fan mod)

i have the fan mod and the engine seems to be running just about as cool as before. myabe a bit hotter, but not 8-10 degrees. hope this helps.

I haven't been driving my car this past week. It's been too hot here on SoCal. The other day, I saw a 105c on my PFC. The ambient temp was around 91f and 70% humidity.

I would agree with the above- one reason I would not go with a FMIC- I have overheating nightmares in my car.....I want as much cooling capacity as possible......luckily it hasnt been the hottest summer so I didnt fork out for an alum. rad...

i think you guys have forgotten our a/c trick

pull the a/c fuse and run your fans on 3, turns the radiator fans on high everytime you hit the a/c button.

is it ok to pull that fuse if you still use the airpump with the main cat?

Jetlag,

If you have a PFC you can set your fans to come on at a lower temp. Koji at XS reprogrammed my PFC to make the fan come on sooner. I have been driving my car all summer without any problems. Temps are about 90c
This can work if you have the dataloggit system provided by Glen from New Zealand. I have my fans coming on at 82 degrees celsius, and my normal operating temps according to my PFC are about 89 to 95 degrees celsius with "sprited" driving.
