Just got rebuilt

I got a mazda reman installed at KDR. When i start it up in the morning or wenever it hasnt ran in a while blue smoke pores out the back. I dont think a brand new motor should do that. Is that normal? Car has d/p and m/p which i guess caused it to over boost and blow up in the first place. Those mods are still on the car but KDR set the boost down to 5lbs. Im still going to put the stock stuff back on but am i ok driving it until like sometime next week as long as i dont boost it. Some people are telling me its still bad. Also when i start it up it sounds like something is scraping in the motor for like two seconds then it stops and runs great. My old motor did that to, someone actually said it was the computer?!? Any help would be awesome this car is a pain in the *** and i dont know much about it. Thanks John

you need to go back to KDR asap. If something is wrong with that motor i.e oil control rings then that is something you want addressed asap before the warrenty on the motor is gone. Also, Does it smoked under WOT? how many miles on it? how long does it have to sit for before oil is burning?

Ask them if they replaced the oil injectors? If it only smokes at start-up the injectors are more then likely leaking which is a good thing for a new engine, after break in replace them.

Sounds more like a turbo issue to me. If your plugs aren't getting caked with carbon it's not the engine.
