Smile Just got my RX-7!

This morning I picked up my '93 R1! Driving it home was even more impressive than the test drive. I love the feel of these cars, and the interior is all the better. But I have to say the existence of this forum, especially its search function, greatly contributed to my decision to buy an RX-7. I previously owned an Audi S4 and have been members of both Audi forums and Honda/Acura forums, and this is one of the best online communities I have seen. I look forward to posting on this board in the future and driving my new baby.

Congrats, but only you can see the picture. The rest of us see a red "X" . You can use the forum to host the picture for everyone to see by uploading the pic as an attachment.

Here's how it's done:

Click .

Click "Browse" and select the image file. The image file cannot be larger than 100kB. If it is larger than 100kB, then you can use a freeware program like irfan view to shrink the image.

Type something in the massage box.

Click "Submit Reply".

Welcome to the forums!

I know I'll never forget the day I drove my rx7 home, it's a manual and I had a broken left ankle at the time but I still loved it! hehe

Welcome to the world of FDs It is very rewarding and definitely can be hair-pulling - but enjoy your car and when you get bored with 255 hp, start the modding process.

Congrats on the new FD! I still remember my first ride home in my FD. Only it wasn't me it was my friend and it wasn't an FD it was an el camino. Good luck anyways.

The owner wasn't sure which one it was when I asked, all he knew was that it was fiberglass, if I find out I'll tell you, but I believe it is a Knight Sports Replica. Rotary Extreme sells the replica. The fitment isn't great, but it isn't horrible as many aftermarket hoods I have seen. If you look at the pic closely you can see that it sits slightly over to the drivers side. There is also a slight issue with the contours of the headlights, I'll post a pic in a minute...

I think Pettit sells both the hood and the windshield decal.

Nice car.

Haha, wait till you see the garage. If you look in the pic you will see that there are some fitment issues behind the headlight covers where the hood drops down quickly. To be honest I didn't notice this until I took the picture, the only obvious problem was the larger gap on the passenger side then the drivers. Pettit probably does sell the hood, Cameron did all the work on the car.
