I kinda like it. Especially the last shot you posted where you can see the deep lip it's got. Not the best looking rim ever, but good looking and a quality rim. Don't listen to everyone else.

with 8.5's you could go as high as 265/35 or 40/18s.. I wouldn't go any wider..

Best fit would be 255s

My opinion.. They aren't bad looking.. How heavy are they??

I totally agree, you need some wider tires. I really hate it when I see tires that are too narrow for the rim - it just looks wrong. Usually slightly too wide is much better than slightly too narrow - IMO.

Yes. You probably should have gone with 245s or 255s front and back.

P245/40-18 = 25.7" nominal diameter, which is a bit tall (stock diameter is about 24.9"). A P255/35-18 would have been about perfect, at ~25" tall and would protect the lip of the wheels better.

around 23 lbs each
Ouch.

As Mahjik said, don't take it personally. People told me my Volks look like *** too.

I like a more squared-off look, so I tend to go a little wider on my tires than "recommended". The fronts are P245/35-19s (on 19x8.5" TE-37s) and the rears are P285/30-19s (on 19x9.5" TE-37s).

Keep in mind that wheels are actually about an inch wider than the rated width, which is the distance from bead to bead, not the outside edges of the wheel. For example, a P285 is a nominal 11.2" wide (285 / 25.4), but that's the section width, not the tread width (which is about 75-80% of that), and not the bead width (about 90% unmounted). I bought the Bridgestone S-03s first, measured the bead to bead width (~10") and then selected my wheels. The TE-37s don't come in 10" width, so I went with a 9.5", which is close enough.

I like the rims. Bigger tires will look and perform better.

[QUOTE=RX 4 Speed]I think the fact that you said the word "fake", started all the responses. Lesson: Don't tell the forum they're fake!

QUOTE]
If this is the rational that determines whether or not a part is good enough for the car. then ALL Rotary Extreme stuff is ****!! Because it is all copies or "fakes" of the "real" deal. And not worthy enough to be seen on the FD..Blah!

The materialism of the people on here is rediculous. If you like them keep them. Most of the people that love the Volks and so on are just bandwagoneers!! NO personality or individualism of their own. So they just copy what the "old timers"do Like Jimlab etc.. The clickyness of this forum reminds me waaay to much of high school.

I wouldn't say ***, but I don't think they're any superior to the rims the other guy has as far as design go (Leaving width and offsets and such aside).

Anything chrome like that just looks like tightened aluminum foil to me...

I'm very particular though, I'm all for the 5-spoke classic alloy rim choice.

Not to mention weight...

Except that they're not chromed...

Well, enjoy yourself in the 1980s where "classic" 5-spoke alloy rims are still in fashion.

Manarays I believe are a US brand (don't quote me on that) but they are a knock off brand as you stated... the reason most people want the Volks, Works, BBS, etc. is because they are the 2-3piece wheels that your wheels are trying to mimic. When you have the nicer wheels you will notice some quality difference. But if all you want is just to make it look a little nicer w/ a subtle difference to the FD next to you then, you went the ok route.
