Just did my fan switch mod
I know you guys probably don't care, but I'm new to doing anything like this, so I'm proud of myself for doing this on my own and it works!
Of course, I had some (ok alot) of help from http://rx7.voodoobox.net/ (thanks Dave!)
Excuse the lint, that's all clean now
Yeah, yeah, still haven't cleaned the engine bay..i'm getting to it!
Next up is my boost gauge, should be here tuesday (thanks rx7.com for great service)
I've already run the hose and hooked up an blitz BAR gauge, but I'm waiting on my autometer PSI gauge and a-piller pod.
Also get my front strut tower brace on tuesday

pretty easy, huh
i did it too. if your car is a '94 and up dont forget to turn off the switch before you leave ur car!
I have KILLED by battery at least 4 times. I had to go to a light up switch to remember to turn it off.

Good work on your first project.
A few suggestions:
1. If you want a more subtle, OEM appearance, you can rig the switch to work with an OEM fog light switch instead.
2. Clean that engine bay!

I wanted to use the factory fog lamp switch since I removed the fog lamps anyway, but I didn't know where to begin to hook up the wires.
Thanks for all the comments guys, I'll clean the engine bay! I'm doing the stuff to keep the car running first, tomorrow I'm bleeding the brakes, don't think it's ever been done!
One more thing, my car is a 93, does that mean i can leave the switch turned on and the fans will cut off eventually?

i think you should be okay. i dont think any of the '93s had the wire update. you can find out easy, if you just flip the switch with car off and the fans dont run then you are okay. If you flip the switch and the fans turn on with the car off then you have the update and you must flip the switch off when you leave your car.

Well after driving around for a few hours yesterday, I didn't even notice the switch was there. It's just low enough that my arm doesn't hit it when I'm shifting, and it doesn't get in the way when rest my arm on the center console while cruising.

Well, it took me about 3 hours, and 4 beers, I'm sure a normal person could do it in 45 minutes though. I went really slow too, because I was afraid of screwing something up. I just plopped my laptop on a table with Dave's instructions for quick reference and went to town. Spent about $30 in materials to do it (bought extra stuff to allow for mistakes)
