Just bought a new FD!

Woot! But it has a huge dent in the door. I'm using this as an excuse to possibly repaint the entire car. Now, getting to my point, which is I haven't been able to find many pics of this car in silver. Or in the dark metallic shale color either. Can anybody help me out here? Much thanks in advance.

Since you're the FNG I'll be nice, but as a general rule, we don't tolerate laziness here. Please take the initiative and use the Search link above right.

Just to start you off...

Oh, and congrats on the new ride.

Haha, yeah, I know it was a pretty noobish request, but thanks though. I'm really having a tough choice trying to decide what color to paint her. That dark shale color is looking better and better.

Congrats on your new FD. Just have a body shop paint it OEM silverstone metallic, as 7_rocket said, it'll look great. And once you get that dent repaired, get some pics of your car up. Congrats and good luck with the new money pit.

Thanks for the support guys. Yuichiror, yeah, that's the one. The car originally was red, then it got repainted concorde blue. I wish I new what the stock color silver looks like as I've never seen it in person. I'd thought about the Porsche silver also, but if memory serves me right, it has a TON of pearl in it. Those new Scion TC's have a hot color called "Flint Mica" that I'm kind of partial to. I don't know.

if you want to keep your paint color in the family you could try some special edition variiant from the past few years:

i think this is the 2001 miata one

andthe mazdas 3s right now have this color

the color looks a little darker in person IMO

Cool! I looked at that one, but just bought one from one of the guys on the board. The bank just got the paperwork so hopefully I'll be closing on the loan by Thursday. I fly out next week to pick it up!!!!! So we're both "new to the club"!

^ Congrats on the new car also then! I just went and picked mine up lastnight. That dent that was in the door is going to take some doing to get out. I'll take the door apart tomorrow and see if I can't bang it out a little so that we can fill it in. I also have to replace the speakers and get that Harmon Crapton stuff out'a the trunk. She needs a bit of work, but I can't wait until it's done.
