Just bought a FD.. and having problem.
Hello.
I just bought a FD from one of our forum member (911GT2) couple of days ago.
This car has KDR rebuit motor, rebuilt turbos setup full non-sequential, Steve Kan tuned APEXi Power FC and commander, Red silicone vacuum hoses, ACT streep/strip clutch, Brembo cross-drilled slotted rotors, Goodridge stainless steel braided brake lines, Hawk HPS pads, downpipe, APEXi intake, AST bypass, 180 degree thermostat, etc.
There are little things that need to be fixed, but overally I am pretty satisfied with the car so far.(Thanx to 911GT2)
Anyways, this car keeps stalling and idling weird for about first 10minutes after starting up. Motor supposed have about 10,000miles on it, and there seems like no problem boosting the car. I noticed it's low on engine oil, and maybe buring oil since I saw the oil leak from BOV. I do warm up the car and cool down without turbotimer. This is my first time owning rotary engine, and I need your input.
Hopefully, this problem is easy to fix like normal basic tune-ups and such.
Thank you

you better read up, and fast
TPS = throttle position sensor, some believe rough idle and/or stalling with no throttle input are blamed solely on a miscalibrated TPS sensor, which slides back/forth on the back of the tbody... mine likes to idle low intermittently sometimes too, i'm gonna check my tps as well

I also got a power FC and tuned ECU, do I loose all the data after reset the ECU or no?

It might be easier to make sure your tps is adjusted correctly first.
Read through this post though, it may be relevant to your problem.

Yes, if you reset the PFC, you will lose the Kan tuned maps. The only way to prevent that is to have a datalogit to download the maps to a computer.
Your idle speed control valve may be bad, if it only stalls during warmup. Typically, TPS problems do not cause a stall at idle.
I strongly suggest you get a factory service manual (FSM) -- you can either buy a hard copy from Malloy Mazda or download a PDF version for free from www.iluvmyrx7.com
