interested to see if ne knows a kit for lambo doors? saw it on a eclipse wondered if they had it for the RX-7

Someone does make a kit, but I forget who. I recall the price for the scissor doors was insane (like >= $10,000). Do some searching on this forum, because i'm sure I've seen at least one other thread like this one.

I've heard in the past that RE Amemiya would do them for 10k and you ship your car to them in Japan...

I thought it was $3-5k per door for RE to do the modification. Can you imagine the extra weight though?

That's right.. I spoke to the folks at RE Amemiya and you gotta' send your car to them ..it's not a kit. $2500 bucks shipping one way !!!

w00t! If you've got the money, that'd definitely make your car stand out... but if you had to save up to be able to do it, it's probably not worth it. If you've got all kinds of money to blow (from a settlement or something of that nature) and are still making a regular income, go for it!

You don't have to go to RE to have it done. If you want "RE doors" then, yes, you have to send it to them.

There are custom shops in the US that will do it. However, the price is still going to be at least $10k.
