JIC or N1
Hey, I bought the car with the JIC Spec 90 exhaust, I have been searching all night and day and couldn't find the width of the piping... Is it 3 inches or more... I think the sound of the exhaust is good but I always wanted an Apexi exhaust...BTW I used to have a JIC Bullet on my WRX so i want something new to me... What do some of you think about the N1 compared to the spec 90, I am looking for performance, I have a gt35r turbo and am getting the car tuned soon and wanted to have the official exhuast on before the tune.... Thanks

Are you sure about the model? I don't believe they currently have a Spec 90 in the lineup. BTW, the 90 typically is the pipe diameter - 90mm, which is BIG, like 3.75" or so.
Typically the Japanese exhaust is either 72mm, 80mm, or 90mm. On a car making reasonable power, it's not a super huge difference. I have seen some systems that are "all 80", which is a full turbo-back system that's all 80mm all the way, but they're not that easy to find in the US.
This is JIC's current lineup, BTW -

i had the N1 on my rx-7 and there were times when it would hurt my ears when my windows were down and at wide open throttle. Other wise, it sound nice to me. I have the Jic 90 on my car,(haven't started it yet) It is a 3.5" pipe. Check the rest of your pipe diameter(midpipe and down pipe) to see if it is the same. If it is, most of the guys here can tell you that custom piping probably cost a good penny, cause 3.5" stuff is pricey. If you get the N1 and everything to match it, I'll buy your mid pipe and down, caus I'm in the process of looking into finishing my exhaust.
BTW, the JIC is awesome ****, they are a handfull of people that have that exhaust becuase of the price and rarity of it. I also paid 700+ for mine. Its a race bred exhaust

yeah that is true it is much more rare than a dime a dozen Apexi unit, which is making me want to keep it than sell it off...As loud as the N1 is I think I want that sound, the JIC is mroe deep than throaty which i think the n1 is.... I dunno seems like I have been convinced to keep the JIC based on the rarity of the piece..
If the JIC is 3.5 inches then what is the Apexi the same
