Question JDM with cruise control?

I know this may be a dumb question but did the JDM cars ever come with cruise control? None of the JDM steering wheels/ Nardi that I have seen have cruise control buttons. I want a new style airbag steering wheel but I needs my cruise control. I don't suppose if anyone knows if an RX-8 wheel can be fit to an FD?

Why is it so bloody hard for people to put a meaningful title on their posts?

This is not IM or texting.

No kidding. I try real hard to have relevant thread titles. When I go searching I generally find some of my own posts.

We were all noobs once (some of us ...me... Still have those noob moments)

ANYWAY, OP Do a search on relocating your cruise control buttons. A few forum members here have choosen to reattach the electronics elsewhere. Potentially even to the new wheel.

He is a 2004. He doesn't get to have n00b status.

You can try to actually find the control unit for that steering wheel from another car or retrofit the stock one.

As for the rx8 wheel question, I remember seeing a photo of it done.

Man, I forgot how many jackasses there are on this forum. First of all, when someone does a search it doesn't just search the title. It searches all the text for the keywords. Having the keyword in the title might have been useful, but having a vague title might draw more people into the post. It drew you guys in. Second, I didn't ask how I can glue my cruise control buttons onto to some steering wheel so I can have some half-***, jury-rigged version of something that probably already exists somewhere. I ASKED DID THE JDM CARS EVER COME WITH CRUISE CONTROL. This forum has a lot of potential to be a helpful resource. However, there are only a handful of people on here that are truly helpful. If people don't have anything positive or helpful to add please don't even comment.

UK-market cars all came with cruise control (though there were only 124 sold so uber-rare now) as did other-market (including Japan) touring spec ones, errr X-Type designation IIRC, the top-of the range model with trim levels that also included climate control, full leather, airbags, sunroof, Bose wave and extra sound deadening. HTH

...there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers

Thanks for the info. I figured they had to come with cruise but I have never seen a JDM steering wheel for sale that had cruise buttons. I guess I'll keep looking

Yup, you have pretty much proved the point - there are some jackasses on this forum. Imagine how useless this forum would be if everybody did this?

Get off your high horse, dude. This is actually one of the most helpful automotive forums out there, with a lot of well informed people willing to help. HOWEVER, there is a low tolerance of noob, lazy, inconsiderate, or just plain assholeish behaviour. The sticky requesting that people post informative titles is there for a reason.

The early japanese version had cc on the instrument binnacle. If you're looking for a late wheel with cc buttons, not going to happen.

Get a cruise unit from a Protege (02-05 IIRC). I will post pics of my wheel with cruise when I get back home.
