JDM cluster to American cluster
i THINK the stock JDM speedo's were 0 - 180 KPH because the JDM cars have a limiter on them.
Although a lot of tachs from Mazdaspeed and RE-Amemiya have 300kph speedo's
and im pretty sure its a direct swap.

Ah, so you're right. The OEM JDM FDs came with a 180K speedo.
To the OP, since you can put a JDM cluster into a USDM FD without any mods(unless you want the boost gauge to function), I can only assume it's the same visa versa.
You could also buy just a Mazdaspeed, RE-A or KS speedo.

yeah, it'll just plug right into the gauge cluster.
as for teh boost gauge im pretty sure all that needs to be done is supply power and ground to the guage and then hook the vacuum line up, unless im missing something.

And yeah, the speedo is 3 screws, IIRC and a direct swap between any gauge cluster.
Hitokiri_Gensai's right about the stock speedos reading up to 180 kph, and the aftermarket being higher.
If you install a JDM cluster in a US car, it will still read in kph. So you will top out your gauge cluster at about 111 mph (IIRC). The solution is simple; have your speedo recalibrated to mph, so the 180 kph mark is actually corresponding to mph. Then vioala, your JDM cluster is reading in mph, despite it being labeled in kph
And of course...I can have the speedo recalibrated for you hehe

But yea, no OEM speedos past 180 kph until very recent (ditto w/ 280 ps power limit).
