JDM 94 Boost Pills

I know there’s several older threads discussing later FD have the restrictions pill built into the nipple rather than in the hose. Do we know at what point they switched for JDM? I recall there was some thoughts that even some of the earlier JDM didn’t have them. Has anyone run across any 94s without the pills?

Not much point using years, half the cars nowadays are probably running later twins. You'd be best to look under the car and clean the rear turbo compressor housing, there is a remote chance nipples have been swapped by somebody obsessive, but 99.9% likelihood anything stamped N3A1 will need pills.

Definitely stock turbos. I accidentally threw away those hoses during a move, and so couldn’t verify easily. Thanks

A peek into the end of the nipples will resolve all doubt: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...6/#post6789477

Yep all N3A1 turbos will need pills. N3C1 I THINK have them built in. But best way to know is to look as stated - parts could have been swapped.
