Yep, that's cruise, some of the early JDM cars were wired up for it when it was not fitted, you can ignore this connector unless you want to fit cruise control.
confirm, i have a '92 jdm R1 without cruise and the harness is also here

Apologies for dusting off this very old topic @tikkitokki. I have recently purchased a 1995 JDM RX-7 and mine came with the exact same (what appears to be) keyless entry setup you described and showed in this post.

I was hoping you'd eventually managed to figure out what this was, and perhaps got it to work? Similar to yourself, I did not get any remote with it, but if at all possible, I'd be keen to make it work.

Anything you've learnt about that receiver and control unit?
