Jacob's Rotary Pak Or MSD 6A

Jacob's Rotary Pak Or MSD 6A?

I`ve been a great supporter of MSD. However, I` m open to trying new things as the MSD 6A`s are starting to go up in price. Just wanted to know if anyone can chime in on their pass experiences.

Thanks,
Andre

Andre, when Howard Coleman says something, you listen to it. I think you obviously don't know who he is (or what kind of street credit he has...)

Yes. Love it. I had one a few years back as well, but it blew out when my alternator went haywire. It gave me zero problems for over three years. According to Chris over at www.rx7.com, the jacobs amp gives a more powerful spark than the hks pack. When Chris or Ari tell me something, i listen

Ramy,
it`s not that I don`t listen... it just that I`m trying to gather all the facts so that I can make a logical decision...I`m sure that what is good for the goose isn`t good for the gander. Hence, some people using the HKS twin power!

Andre,

The HKS Twin Power is the best plug 'n play unit on a *stock* ignition setup. No one argues that (if they're do, they're wrong ) But if you need even MORE, then the Twin Power simply isn't sufficient. And Howard Coleman gave a breakdown in that thread and two more: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=512554 and https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=522759. I thought it was a pretty thorough comparison of the various ignition setups, their strengths and weaknesses etc. But hey, I respect that everyone's got their view on things, and like you said, what may be good for one may not necessary be good for another. Having said that, however, I'm still sold on the Rotary Pak being the best

Andre, the Rotary Pak is the FC3000 (http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku), not the 1000 or 2000. See this post: https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...9&postcount=12

If you click on the dyno vid link in my sig, that was done with the jacobs fc1000. I have since switched to the rotary pack and the changes were quite apparent to me---smoother, more high rpm power, better throttle response.

I have the FC1000 also, I was under the impression that the rotary pack was no more. Thought the FC replaced the rotary pack. Wasn't the rotary pack known for eating up coils?
