My opinion is that Jacob's sells poop in a box (poor quality, grossly exagerated performance claims). But I honestly don't have any direct experience with Jacob's on the FD.

I bought one and never used it went with the HKS twin power instead, I heard the burned up the fd coils but if you use the FC coils you'll be fine

Yup, exactly. Hell, I may even have told you that when you called the shop way back when, lol.

I am running an FC leading coil and amping it with the new style fc1000. It works well for me......I am running rich as all hell (enough fuel to theoretically support 540 motor hp, and this at only 13 psi) and the mixture was still igniting with all 9 plugs. I recently took out my leading to install 10.5 race plugs, and my plugs were trashed after ~5k miles......rounded electrode and lots of carbon on the surrounding material.

I like the amp, think it works well with an fc coil, but it definitely chews through spark plugs. I think it is a great addition to any FD running one bar of boost or more.

I'm also running the same set up as Rich and no problems at all. Chris and Ari at RP recommended that set up so I can't go wrong.

My Rotary Pack burned up two stock lead coils - I changed to twin single post Crane LX91 coils for my lead and each is amplified with its own FC1000. It has been a powerful and trouble-free arrangement for almost a year now.

Probably why RP recommends that you use a 2nd gen leading coil for durability.
