It's Alive!!!! It's Alive!!!
11 days after installing the reman, the FD roared back to life!!!!!!!!
I struggled with a fuel injection issue (https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/new-reman-trouble-starting-need-help-form-vets-593805/) , then a fuel leak, and flooding; but with a bit of perseverance and luck, it started and sounded:
Oh.
So.
Sweet.
I'm sure my neighbors were thinking "Oh $hit....it's back," and "Dammit, he's managed to put it back together..."
I blew the original motor at Thunderhill 5 months ago and was going to rebuild everything myself, but after cleaning and inspecting the parts, the cost of new housings, one new rotor, and the rebuild kit was about the same price of a reman.
While the engine was out, I replaced the pressure plate with an ACT extreme, put in an new OEM clutch, pilot bearing, FC thermoswitch, and a fuel pressure gauge.
The car is nearly buttoned up and should be ready for a test drive in the afternoon. I've been driving my other car (Chevy Tahoe) for so long that tomorrow test drive is going to be like driving an FD for the first time....

Make sure you yell the "IT'S ALIVE...." for all your neighbors like I did. I was sure someone was going to call the police on me because of all of the smoke - and my yelling.
The RA video wasn't kidding about the smoke upon startup bit. I had the extinguisher ready.
