would anyone know where i can get this shortened center console thing or is it for RHD only and those two slots where the anti theft warning things go. sorry im not too familiar with what you call everything. my interior needs fresing up bad.

appreciate the info bro. one more question tho if you dont mind. when i purchased by car the dude cracked the tunnel cover is there a place i can get a new one or would i have to go to an interior place to have it repaired.

 

rhdjapan has the RHD ones you can buy new. They're not cheap ~350 or so. It'll also take a while to get here but that's about the best option you have unless you can source a used one.

Just finished designing and building my fire extinguisher bracket. Similar to the Sakebomb design, but significantly wider to accommodate the BRIDE rails. Uses the existing DRAKE bracket already in production.

enough gauges ? there is one more on the right of the cluster water temp.
fitting them all in was not easy.

few more colors ? well they all have 4 colors i can take my pick with a touch of a button. green = coolant temp blue = air temp + boost red = exhaust temp and so on. or if i want all one color, or the top right red power switch turns them all off and keeps the boost, rev, and speedo on.

the power buttons turn intercooler fans [blue] on, and intercooler water pump [green]on, pre boost motor on [white]. and a few other things, plus some spares so if in the future you want to add something the switch is all ready their.
and the ones behind the vent yes i can see them perfectly, top right = intake air temp
top left = intercooler inlet air temp, bottom left = intercooler outlet air temp,
and bottom right engine intake air temp.

funny you should say vagas because i placed 5 dollars into a pokie/slot machine
and pushed to play 2 lines out of 5 [ 20 cents ] and on the first push i won $1000
maxi jackpot [have photo to prove it ] and that payed for all the gauges.
and you dont have to look at any of the they all have warning lights and sound to
tell you something is wrong.

how much redundancy is their, every gauge has it own fuse the right wire gauge
all wires wrapped and soldered and all with heat shrink.
the nzxt touch screen fan controller controls five fans, one for driver, one in drives seat lower back, one for passanger, one for passanger seat lower back, one for rear passanger.

The head unit i can watch digital tv, on watch movies, play ps4 games,watch front and rear cameras front camera for parking near gutters to save the front lip.
rear for kids and is also connected to a 2 channel rear view mirror.
the head unit also has internet android can go online and surf the net and download
apps, and also has street navigation.

I love rx7's and like electronics and i make things in my spare time.

 

That's not really what I was asking. What I was getting at is how many of your gauge functions are repeated? Just looking things over in your pictures (granted, it's hard to make out some of the gauge functions), I'd say you have the following functions that seem to be shared:

9 temps gauges
2 boost gauges
2 rpm gauges
3 volt gauges

I'm just curious what 9 temps you're monitoring, if you've got 2 separate boost pressures / rpms that you're monitoring and what 3 voltage rails you've got running in your car?

For the PC Fan controller - You're saying you've mounted fans in or on the seats for cooling? Got any pics? Was something wrong with your AC blower fan or did you have to delete it to add those vent gauges?

For the wiring - Pictures are worth a 1000 words. I'm not trying to be a jerk. I'm just genuinely curious. You've packed a lot into those panels. If you've managed to document and manage the wiring well, there are folks here who might like to take notes. I'm sure the next owner would appreciate knowing what they're getting into too.

The gauge cluster has engine boost gauge, engine tacho, and speedo right volt + temp gauge is for battery 1 and left volt + temp is for battery 2, dual batterys.
on the right is the original mazda trip meter from the gauge cluster i purchased with as luck has it, it had the same amount of kph my original cluster had to keep the law happy. bottom right controls the three gauges, colors, low peak, high peak, warning lights. left gauge is in car temp and outside temp. then bottom left is fuel gauge and bottom is profec boost controller.on the right of the out side the gauge cluster is engine water temp.
dash quad gauge holder [ left to right ] far left oil pressure, then oil temp, then exhaust temp, and wideband a/f.
the hvac has, top left 4 tires psi + tyre temp then middle fuel pressure, then right is water intercooler temp, far right is red power switch to turn off all the gauges.
under the tyre safe gauge, left is an adjustable voltage regulator, and next to that
is the cars gear indicator, then cars main volt gauge, rpm gauge shows the revs of the twin electric turbines that feed the turbos air intake, then far bottom right is the pre engine boost pressure from the electric turbines and the stored small air tank to aid spool and rpm at low revs.
the vent temp gauges have been insulated and the heater and air con still flow heaps of air around the gauges, as i said above the top right vent gauge is intake air temp
outside air temp before turbos thats 1 temp, then top left vent gauge is intercooler intake temp after it has gone through the hot turbos and been compressed its at a much higher temp [ as you allready know ] then gone through the water intercooler then the air intercooler then their is the intercooler outlet temp then through the second water intercooler is the last temp gauge what the engine is sucking in,
at each stage the air temp is at a diffrent temp, cool, hot, cooler, even cooler, super cold.
The fan controller is there for when its warm and i dont want the ac on,the engine uses to much fuel with the ac off,but when its far to hot the ac and heater still work just fine. the seat fans are set to come on at a pre set temp, we get 40 c days here in sumer and with the a/c on you still get a lower sweaty back they get to where the ac does not.
also the headlight pop up switch is moved to the last switch on the gear panel next to the rear defrost switch, all plug and play if i ever wanted to return to stock.
every thing you see all work, and i have many [ to much ] photos of every step, I might have to start a build thread.
also none of the gauges are shared that would be pointless.
so far two voltage rails 5v and 12v.
i will make a youtube video one day.
I must thank you, i have seen your speed hut gauges and the other guy's speed hut gauges and i liked the prosport gauges thats what got me thinking to do this.
the next gauges have to be all tablet touch screen with 1000's of gauge colors and designs.
And there will be no next onwer.

Can't fault you for stepping out into the unknown (although the pre-turbo electric turbines are an unknown I'd rather not know personally). That's an area that makes a lot of folks uncomfortable but it's something I look for all the time. Doing the same thing over and over is boring. New is interesting

My only beef was that I couldn't imagine any other useful data you'd want to monitor past ~ 9 or 10 gauges. Case in point, I have an intake temperature gauge and after driving with it for a couple of years I regard it as useless. Sure it give me data, but I never look at it so it's just taking up space and electricity.
I will say 'useful' is a relative term, so if you've got 3x more data that you need that's useful to you on a continuous basis, who am I to say that's ridiculous?

There will always be another owner unless you've got a line in your will to crush it after your death. Just expand your timeline and it will happen. Best case, your children inherent it, but that's still a new owner that won't know what you've done on the other side of those panels unless you document it.
