I'm kinda curious as to where you put gauges, and where you mount the turbo timers and boost controllers. Those of you who have this stuff, please post a pic for me. Thanks.

I always thought it was silly to mount the turbo timer on top of the steering column..unless it's one of the Blitz units that serve as a boost guage, lap timer, temp guage, and whatever else.
Mine is mounted, down below the ignition and cigarette lighter (you know..where you would hit your knee, if you were REALLY tall. I would take a picture, because I have a really hard time explaining the location to people, but my camera's batteries are dead, and my damn brother lost the charger.

Here's an old pic...
But my new setup will be..
- 2 60mm DEFi guages (boost & EGT) in the border gauge panel (micky mouse)
- 2 60mm DEFi gauges (water temp & fuel press) where the factory A/C controls where.
- APEXi Auto timer mounted in panel on top of the radio
- DEFi link control box flush mounted to the left of the radio
- RE steering column gauge mount - undecided gauge.. maybe (oil temp or press)

why doesnt anyone make a new steering column to fit this ****. With inserts for each type of popular turbo timer or just a blank one you can cut yourself and with 2 gauge pods, but those would prob get in way of wiper switch and stuff.
and anyone know how hard it would be to make a HUD like in jets and cadis.
Basically put a transparent coating on the lower driver side of your windshield and a type of projector below to show all this ****
would be very expensive but much safer easier and cooler :-D
but to cut down on prices, and make development easier you could just hook it up to a computer
have the time, speed, A/F mixture, boost, 0-60, lap time, etc etc, hell even put up current song and have a MP3 decoder and setup in the computer too :-D
I
MUST
DO
THIS!@$!@$
heh, just noticed that DEFi makes HUDs but oh well they dont have all the features i want lol, would be kinda big.
I'll work on it ;-)

i have 60mm apexi boost in a pillar
turbo timer/boost controller/ o2 voltage are all in compartment above radio (*moved radio to bottom)
i like to hide **** and act like i dont know whats going on and then blow people away....or something......heh
i just dont like all that crap in my face
soon i will be putting in some gauges in a/c control spots, a/c vent (*custom CF pod) and where center speaker is (might split up PFC and mount the display there though).
i have some pics, but need to scan them in and find some place to have host them that will let me link them to here cause apparently shutterfly, photopoint and all those places wont let you. anyone know of a spot??
