Same here, only reverse the positions. I think the boost guage being visable against the tach is more usuable.

Somewhere within this forum someone mentioned that they left the speaker in place. I believe they had the Defi Link system so wiring was a breeze.
I think they said that they couldn't really tell a difference in soundstage either.

Those are some awsome setups, especially the tri & quad pod that Frank makes.
I saw these setups a while ago and thought they looked nice and different. I don't know who makes them though.

This pics is of a 240 or something couldn't find the one on an FD but u get the picture.

This is my favorite on the AC vents. Just w/o all those colors and the gauges in the airbag. Its the setup that the Apex'i car has.

It's a horrible immage but it's all I got for now, I'll get a better shot tonight...
All gauges and heater-a/c controls glow in blue and light green-ish center circle.

I mounted commander under ashtray; display visible when needed (used more to get peak readings after a session) and key pad out of way and protected when not. Boost gauge on A pillar, visible as needed from corner of eye (has warning light at set at 11.5 psi) and without interfering with sightline. Oil temp gauge down in dash beside cig. lighter, no maybe not ideal, but good enough to drop eyes straight down and glance at needle on straightaway. AFR dig readout below idiot lights to left. My gauges are rotated so that 12 oclock is max normal (i.e. Boost 12, Oil temp 190) therefor I don't spend processing time on determining Good, Ok, Bad .. no, stock gauges are not rotated but neither are they so meaningful, and horizontal needle is ok. Tach well, shift at the buzz.

In the meantime and we do not have a plan to release this product outside Japan. We will inform in Defi English website when we have settled upon further details."

someone was just selling a commander on E-bay the other day . It went for like $100. You should check around. Try the for sale section.
