Interior Door handle/lock, RHD and LHD the same?
Hi!
As topic says.
Im looking for a LHD drivers side interior door handle with the wires going to the rear lock latch. Found a few on Ebay. but they`re all to RHDs, and a seller there claims that there`s differences in RHDs and LHDs....
secondary question:
If there is a difference, does anyone have a drivers side LHD door handle/lock with the wires for sale?
As topic says.

I'm pretty certain the wires you are talking about (small, fine gauge white wires IIRC) are not for the rear hatch lock. They are for the illuminated key hole light on the outside of the door itself.
Lifting the handle from the outside activates the keyhole light (and the ignition key barrel light because it is on the same circuit) so you can see the keyhole, to insert the key in the dark, without scratching the door handle paint with the key.

I had the door cover off and this hole unit broke off when it hit my brothers knee.

Ahh. The interior cables.
I made a set of custom flat/fabricated aluminum interior door skins for my racecar a little while back and I mounted those units to the outside of the panel and ran the cables in through the aluminum panel to where they had to go. I dont think that the RHD unit will work for you.
Not having any access to LHD units to compare with, I dont see how a RHD mounted assembly will be able to mount on the LHD door.
