Interesting.. Cryo Intake

http://www.designengineering.com/cry...ir_intake.html

The CryO²™ Air Intake consists of an aerodynamically design bulb with a cryogenic chamber which is mounted in a 4" segment of air tube. As the air passes over the bulb heat is removed from the air charge resulting in a colder, denser more powerful charge. Dyno testing showed a reduction in intake air temperature of more than 35%. The CryO²™ Air Intake can be used on tubocharged, supercharged or naturally aspirated applications. Multiple units can be used for colder results. Installs in minutes and comes with silicone connection sleeve, hose clamps and connection/vent hose.

Won't that dot the same thing, as the N-tercooler from nitrious express, except it looks like it woudn't do it as well.

So they say it is an entire linked system. You use the sprayer as the last link since it is the link that releases it to the atmosphere. Here is the sprayer..

CO2 is not flammible, it is actually used in fire extinguishers. What have you been smoking?

I think the best place to put it would be just before the TB. Hell - rig it to use the throttle body coolant lines..

I don't like windshield wipers or gasoline powered cars for that matter either...

I know what you mean though... if only there was a CO2 and NO2 station next to gas stations..

If you use the throttle body coolant lines you might have AWS problems?

I think he was refering to the tank being mounted in the engine bay....CO2 tanks + underhood temps = boom

i don't think it's bs, but i sure as hell would never buy one.

Why wouldn't it work, it's essentially like a nitrous intake fogger kit but instead CO2 is used. If it helps my air molecules become more densly packed I ain't give a ****.

co2 gets cold when you release it...or go from high pressure to low pressure

so unless they're venting it into your engine, which could go into your intake, i don't see how theyr'e getting it cold

I think it works similarly to the NX N-ter cooler.

The way I understood it, you hook that thing up to your intank tract, and it is basically a heat exchanger. The CO2 makes *something* in the air stream cold and cools down the air charge. I'm not sure, as the site is not very clear, but I don't think it injects CO2 into the engine.
