I KNEW it! Despite being small, VA has the third highest concentration of FD's in the country!

Since I still haven't gotten around to mailing a check, I sent money via Paypal today. The numbers are pretty encouraging, IMHO.

Err, I think we're fourth. Behind Ca, Fl, and Tx. But we're still in the top five!

The 95 have faired pretty well statistically~83%
94 ~ 77%
and a gut wrenching 68% for the 93s

If anyone is going to start crunching numbers here are some stats for production numbers

-Fourth highest, Ramy. There are more FD's in CA, FL, and TX than in VA (even if you count W.VA). I've copied the results to an Excel spreadsheet, does anyone want a copy?

Yeah, I'm surprised that there's so many still on the road. What would be nice is overall numbers for each state starting in 93. I think it would be interesting to see if there's a shift of FD's moving from misc states to specific states. Were that many FD's actually sold in Ca and Fl or are there just more car collectors in those states?

Not that I personally care because this is public info as far as I am concerned and should be, but I think Matt had intended donators to have a small window of precedence for this information.

I'll take one! Good starting point for a database.

If my "letting the cat out of the bag" has upset anybody, I am extremely sorry. I hesitated posting the attachment, but since we intended this to be public domain, I went ahead.

ya I think that would have been great, but it was pretty expensive.

Maybe this will spark the interest of people and we can collect the money required to get that information.

I think it would be very revealing.

I'm starting work on the database for fd3s.cc, if anyone has anything in mind they would want to see graphed / charted / compared let me know and I'll add it in.

Jsplit, I'd like to see the number of FD's per square mile, and per person. All of this broken up by state, if possible .

Since there are less than 10,000 of these cars left, I wonder if we can get collector's insurance policies, or historic vehicle plates? [edit: your car needs to be at least 25 years old to get a historic plate in California]
