In some ways I have always found the 3300 number hard to believe (and I don't think that unregistred/track only cars exist in sufficient quantities to make much of a difference to the total) - but another $31 and we should know. With a (plausible I think) 10% annual attrition rate, the current number should be less than 2000.

BTW: I got a call today about getting the registration numbers by County and Zip Code. She said I should be receiving a quote for that this afternoon or tomorrrow. I've got no intention of pushing for info that detailed, but it'll be nice to know the cost of getting it, for talking purposes.
