intercooler or wheels
ok i think some of you guys are getting a little out of hand with the performance vs looks. the wheels will give better handling so it's not just looks. i'm not going to put on some gaudy 10 foot wing or anything
I just got the blitz sbc type-r boost controller. It says that you cannot lower boost past stock, only above. If you want to though, i suppose you could pull off a few hoses and "manually" lower it

forget everything ...save money for new engine and turbos...
better yet do what i do, keep spare engine and turbos in the garage so when the motor goes the car will be back up and running in less than six months
rims...
What's the mileage on your car? If your stock twins go and you wanna go single then you're gonna have to get another IC...
Rx7s with 16s just look weak period. Some of you can argue all you want about going performance first, but not everybody in here beat on their car ALL the time.

i have a dp, cb and pfc. my next purchase was going to be an IC and intake, but seeing how i won't be going to thunderhill for their driving school anytime this year i'm thinking maybe i'll wait on the power upgrades and get some new wheels. comes out to about the same money. so what do you guys think? keep my ugly polished stock wheels and get an IC and intake or get some ssr gt1's?

Nobody in the car next to you is going to say "WOW!!! Look at the Intercooler!"
Wheels all the way.

Think about the kind of person you are. When you look at your car, are you satisfied, or do you feel it's missing something?
I know when I look at my car, I feel it's missing something. Adding more performance mods made that feeling go away temporarily, but it came back after a while. Rims are my next purchase (unless something breaks in the mean time).
If you are content with the car's look, go for the performance mods. If you feel something is missing, performance mods will only derail that feeling for a little while.
For me, just about everyone on the forum has more performance mods than I do, however, I'm damn happy with the car's performance. Time to work on the look a bit.

Get what you want, when you want it. It's your money. You don't have to do all performance first, then all looks... or vice versa.. you can mix it up any way you like.
Good luck!
Also, you can do my Intake mod and get real cold air. I have proven 3/10ths on my 1/4 and 2.X MPH faster trap. Costed 15.00.
I have some pic somewhere, but in a nutshell...I dremel a 2 X 3 hole in the bottom of the stock air box. Take this 3 inch tube I bought from home depot (its heavy vynle re-enforced about 5 bucks a foot). remove the plastic nose piece between in the nose of the car passenger side...I route the tube between the chassis and my radiator and into the bottom of the air box. from the base of the tube I took a home depot aluminum tubing with a 4 inch opening and connected it to the tube and sealed it.Thats about it. I am sure any good intake will give you the same performance, its all about 15 HP or so. Its just free or close to it.
