Intercooler Piping

Hi,
I had a question regarding the greddy upgraded intercooler piping for stock intercooler. Could anyone tell me if it makes ANY difference at all in the performance.

Thanks

I would say NO....But then you are going to have some people say..."Well, becasue the piping replaces the accordian pipes it causes increase airflow" and all dat. But I would say no...

Will the piping increase performance?

It depends. It depends on a number of factors.

1) Size of the piping.
2) Number of bends.
3) Angle of those particular bends.
4) Amount of "accordian piping" it will replace.
5) Etc. Etc. etc.

Sorry, I can't show you a test that I just recently conducted to show the performance gain from replacing just the piping (it is for a magazine article). But I will tell you that the results can vary. The performance gains can be small, but it can also be large.

However marginal, decreasing the restriction, and travel of air flow anywhere in the engine will help. However, you most likely won't feel it with the butt dyno. You can spend the money elsewhere for a more noticable punch.

Well, considering it's for the stock IC and there are 2 bends for the lower pipe, and one accordian pipe without with a small bend, I really doubt that this will yield any power. But it will make you more reliable though!
