Today I took my car for a drive, and after driving maybe 5 miles, parking it and sitting for a min or two with the fans on i shut it off. I flipped the key on to turn the radio back on and i heard this wierd beeping, sorta like when you have the door open. Does it always make a beep.....beep beep.......beep......beep beep sound? or is that a buzzer?

Also, when i drove it back home, about 2 hours later, as i was pulling into my driveway i pushed the clutch in and the as i turned the car just died. I thought maybe it was cause my clutch is about to go out, so i started it back up, backed up and reparked...but the clutch still works. Anyone have any idea what could be happening? Im so paranoid about this car, and confused. Thanks

Mine allways Beeps when the key is in the ignition in the off or aux position and a door is open, are you sure one of the doors wasn't slightly open (my door switches are swnsitive enough to sense when the door is only on the first latch and not completly closed). does not beep if the key is in the ON position. I hate it as I can't listen to the CD player while working on the car w/ the door open. Could als be the Seat belt beeper - I dont rember how that works though as mine are disconnected

 

what about the car dying? i think now that maybe my idle is too low. it used to be around 1100, but then i changed the oil and added marvel mystery oil and wala...800rpm idle. it almost seems to be under 800 though, and maybe the low rpm plus the power steering killed the engine. anyone have any ideas?
