InterCooler Cooler anyone intrested?

I know everyone has seen or maybe not everyone but alot of people have heard of the Water jet system used on skylines and other cars that spray watter infront of the intercooler. That system works great.. I have racked my brain and have came up with another consept of that but cools or should cool more then water..

The system runs off of liquid CO2 witch when sprayed in front of the intercooler will be colder then water.

Is anyone intrested in a this as I am going to develop a kit that is eyepleasing and not gawdy and isn't going to burn a hole in your pocket.. I figure to the RX-7 guys I will sell it maybe 20-30 bucks more then what it costs me to make it.

I plan on also makeing it to be able to cool the oilcooler/transcooler/brakes/ect... or any setup the customer wishes.

If anyone is intrested please emailme at agourley@attbi.com

P.S. only Rx-7 Forum Members will get it cheap.. I plan on making some money off all other turbo car owners.

This has already been developed by Nitrous express, but its like $500 bucks. Ive been told that you can refill the nitrous bottle with CO2 because its cheaper to do so.

Anyway, if you could make a kit for cheaper, id be really interested. Keep me posted!

You could go to a paintball shop, and pick up all the parts you need. Well mostly anyway...

Hey guys,

Just a word of caution. nocab72 did some tests cooling his IC. The problem is finding a sensor that can detect the drop in intake temps quick enough to add the required fuel. The HP increases are phenominal but I think he's lost at least one motor testing and can't find a sensor good enough to make the whole deal work.

If anyone figures out how to make it work, I'm in!

Andrew

Sad story I actuly run a paintball store and is what I am getting my knowhow from..

TwistedRx, I'm curious will the cooling of the IC dramaticly increse the need for more fuel?? humm
come to think about it you're right cause it would allow the air to get denser and the AFM wouldn't read it..
I don't think that it couldn't be anyworse then a 75hp shot of ....NAWS...............

As fitting goes, it will be basicly ran the sameway a nitrous bottle would be in a car. Diffrence would be that it will be a c02 bottle instead. and it will be ran to the front of the intercooler and will be directed like the water jets.. I think the NX kit with its big circle design is gay and ugly I want eyepleasing with great effect so I will be testing my designs soon.

I would think if you start spraying the CO2 much before you start your run and not in the middle, would not run in to the problem that nocab72 had, the sensor not being able to detect the temp drop.
