intake temps -how high is too high?

tried searching but must not of used the right word or sumthin.

anyway, going to cecil, md to drag tonite and remember the last time i raced the air temps got way up. mainly because i'm running 12lbs on the stock ic i guess.

anyway, how high is too high? cruisin around last nite i got anywhere from 45-55 normal driving. but not expecting that low tonite. have the pettit intake btw.

plannin on bringin a spray bottle to do what i can for the stock ic. figure water/ice/alcohol mix???

my intake temps, recorded at the plastic throttle-body elbow, were ~120F cruising around town and got to as high as 150F while at a traffic light. i had a pettit cool charge II SMIC....

i live in mississippi....

I remember seeing a solid 65°C (150°F) sitting on the dyno on a 90° day here in Fl!
Usually below 45°C when sporting around though.

That was with one of those Spyfish SM IC's.
