Intake/Midpipe/Hi-Flow Cat?
I'm looking to get a new intake kit for my 93 fd but I'm not sure which one to go with. Right now my only engine modifications have been dp, catback, efini y-pipe and a modified air box with a k&n filter. I have a pettit ecu as well. I'm just wondering what some of your opinions are on what intake kit is the nicest and most effective? Also, should I get a midpipe or just get a hi flow cat to replace the stock. I don't want my exhaust note to change and get high pitched. Right now I'm running the hks downpipe and greddy exhaust and I love the way it sounds but I'd like the performance benefit from an open exhaust as long as it doesn't sound like a tin can after I'm done.

Well, it depends on what your trying to set your car up for. I personally have the GReddy Airinx system. You have to be careful about the parts you replace though. For example, my original SR motorsports cold-air box wouldn't fit with my eventual GReddy FMIC. So now I have a $499 intake system with less than a mile on it sitting in my closet. After that hard learned lesson, I spend a lot of time searching through this forum before I make any more purchases for my FD.

if you don't want your exhaust note to change, don't change anything on the exhaust.
as far as intake, do a search on that or read the thread in the Advanced Tech section.
