Intake/hoses paint job: What do you think
Just wanted to know what you guys thought of the red paint on the Blitz Intake/hoses. The car is black so it kind of looks pretty good and evil, if you know what I mean!!.
The intake aluminum pipes are on their way so it's going to look a little better when they're installed. . Still looking to replace the old K&N filters with some S/S Blitz filters. The Efini Y-Pipe will be ordered next week and it along with the UIM will be polished before installation.
Anyway let me know what you think.. AND BE GENTLE!!

BigIslandSevens: Thanks. FYI...I bought the paint at Pepboys. I'm at the office right now and I don't remember the brand name but it's labeled "Universal Red" No.209, rated at 500 degrees. It goes on pretty good and dries real fast. Just remember to degrease everything well before attempting to paint. Good Luck and post some Pics when your project is finished.

911GT2 ; Yeah I know what you mean. I'll have to play with the sceme when it's all put togethere. Hopefully the final product won't look like the engine was built by Tiffany's of NY.

I don't think polished and red looks bad, as long as it's done TASTEFULLY. I'd say keep the pipes polished (tho they do definatly look nice in red) and go with red couplers, vacuum hoses, various other bits of red accents. I think that'll yield the best results.
Good luck and good work!
