intake hose

where does the hose on the stock air box go that is located on the right side all by it self?? dont know where it goes cuz my stupid *** brother just started disconnecting stuff when i wasnt home. anybody know??

it doesn't go any where..that's called the "mystery hose"..by the way it looks with it going down and under the intake somewat...is that it sucks cold air from under then intake?...somebody correct me if i'm wrong =T

You mean the one connected to the metal pipe next to the upper manifold? That's the return for the ACV and airpump. It makes that stupid mooing noise.

he did say it's on the right of the intake by itself..which is the one that leads to nowhere..i would post a pic only if i knew how =T...the one neevosh is talking about is the furthest right one on the backside of the intake..not the singled out one on the rightside

the one on the right side (if your looking at the engine its on the driver's side of the intake box) of the intake that goes under the intake is used for the airpump. it does not suck cold air in. it is the return line for the airpump, that goes into a little box inside of the intake then it goes to the ground. this whole little system is used to keep the intake quiet. as soon as you upgrade to an open intake, you lose this system and then you get what guys call the "mooing" noise.
