Intake Gasket and idle problem

Hello gang, Is everybody using sealant when replacing the the intake gasket with metal replacement. Book does not call for any and there wasn't any residue from manufacturing. Shooting a very small idle problem and of course emission issues after an 93 R and R. Also check valve going from turbo y pipe to pressure chamber was replaced and there is a descrepancy in the parts catalog. Is this one #1,#2,,ect? Mazda is ordering all of them for visual conformation but sure would like to know for sure... Thanks

I've never used sealant for the intake metal gasket and never had any problems.

As far the check valve, I'm not sure the part number. However, you should call and order from Ray at Malloy Mazda. You don't need the part number, just describe to him what you are looking for and he'll make sure you have everything you need. It's a toll free number as well:
