intake air temp senaor problem

ok when my fd was runnning i would occasionally get the code for the ait sensor. it would stay on for a day sometimes and go off, sometimes if u just shut it down it would stay off, happens about once a week or so. my motor is going back in very shortly going single and have the entire harness out and modifed the injector clips already, was wondering what the chances of the actual sensor being bad or could it just be plaine old wiring issues? if the sensor were bad would the cel stay on constantly? let me know advice would be greatly appreciated would like to do this b4 i put her back together. has anyone ever had this kind of problem and solved the issue?

These sensors fail regularly, and fail intermittently rather instantly. Get a new one.

It is most likely the sensor, though it is not possible to say that with certainty.

If your harness is out, it's probably not difficult to test continuity between the sensor plug and corresponding pin at the ECU end.

If in doubt I'd get a new one. They're not that expensive. And you might consider relocating it, especially if your on a standalone.
