Hey now I don't feel too bad... since im paying close to 500 a month... but then again...im not even driving an RX7 yet and these are still tickets and accidents lingering over from my 'just got my license' driving years. Geez... isn't a Supra something like $350/month for a clean record? Any of you guys just running on liability?

One little tip if you have comprehensive fire and theft and not just liability insurance. Make sure your insurance company knows that your FD has an antitheft device (alarm and ignition cutoff.)

My agent asked about this. I had to copy a page from the owner's manual and fax it to him. I then got a slight discount.

...where do you live?? There is a State Farm agent here in Dallas that I recommend to everyone. I am 25 with no tickets and one accident (hit and run on my 7 ) I pay 88 dollars a month. I have sent a lot of my friends his way they always end up saving a lot of money with him. If anyone wants his name, PM me.

If you don't have one already...GET A SECOND CAR. Even if its a POS. I'm telling you guys, the more premiums you stack up with one company, the better off you are. I was looking at paying Allstate over $350 a month for JUST my FD. I then got a $500 beater 88 Dodge Shadow, and pay $160 a month for BOTH. Also, I added the $5 a month rental reimbursment coverage and it actually lowered the price of my premium by $23 a month because I had over 6 different coverages. And if you can get your home and/or life insurance through the same co, do it. Just ask your agent, most of them will be kind enough to tell you different ways you can save $$$

Yeah, it's especially tough to insure 18 to 21 year-old males on high-powered sports cars. They're better off turning their 3rd Gen Rx7 into race cars and trailering the cars to the track, to drive as fast they want. No need to insure a race vehicle. And...if they kill themselves in the process, well at least they were doing what they loved...AND, they've just increased the quality of the male gene pool by eliminating themselves from further propagation! The high insurance rates is just society's lame attempt to improve the male gene pool. I say let 'em race on the track, and let natural selection sort things out

23 and clean record...$800 a year. That should drop a lot when I'm 25.
