I know, it sounds stupid, but will this work?

I guess it will, but wouldn't that require welding it all on, and bending it into place. It would solve the splitting/cracking thing, but it would be a helluva lotta work.

I think so, but wouldn't there be a lot of tubing you would have to do? On top of that, it would be really difficult to plug in the metal tubes. That would just be weird.

No. It won't work. Metal tubes are not flexible enough. They won't bend smoothly, and they won't seal right.

Bad idea.

Yes, it's a terrible idea. Silicone works fine. You'd never be able to replace everything with rigid metal tubing.

You godda admit...it would be pretty damn cool...All metal to metal tubes could be soldered and then the ones that go to solenoids would probably need to coupled with silicone since you really can't solder metal to plastic. It could be done but would be expensive as hell...

Do it and let us know how much it costs and what problems you had

dont some of the tubes run right on top of each oher? If so they would rub together and it would split or make a hole in the tubing after time. I work on industrial air compressors and they have this type of set up. after time they have to be replaced...but it does take awhile.
