Talking installing a Fluidyne radiator...and also doing silicon hoses..give me some pointers!

Hey everyone i am replacing my radiator with a Fluidyne aluminum radiator...got it from www.absoluteradiator.com really nice guy vince was able to get me one for $429.00 including shipping. didnt go for the koyo because i didnt want to worry about fitting problems 2 inches? the fluidune is 1 1/2inches so it shouldnt have problems with clearance. I will post pics of the job! also i am planning on getting some silicon hoses ordered so that i can replace them *** well while i am installing the radiator.....what i need help with is i need to know what gaskets i need to buy in getting this 2 jobs accomplished. so far i see the manifold gasket, intake penulum, is that it ( if theres any more lemme know)? where can i get these gaskets from and how much...$$$ also what hoses do you recomend i order...and how much will those come to is it easier buying a kit? do they sell silicon hoses at any auto/hardwhare store also..that would be good i hate waiting... i plan on doing the job this fri. (do the silicon hoses) then hopefully finishing on sun. then on mon. i will put the radiator in ( what anti-freeze do you recomend)...please try to help me i this is my first major job on my car i am doing my self..(finally got the shop manual out of all places a garage sale down the street? if i had known earlier he had that i would of asked to borrow!!!!).....but thanks for you help guys i keep u posted and get some pics for you!

You shouldn't have to replace the manifold gasket. They are metal unless you have a very early 93.

The hose job really isnt too bad, just time consuming. When I did mine I put the car up on stands so i didnt have to bend over so far.

You shouldn't have to change any but if you do your local Mazda dealer should be able to get the right ones for you.

Vacuum Hose Replacement How-Tos

There are three popular How-To web sites covering the FD3S vacuum hose replacement. Take a look at all three sites to find info on sources for hose, sizes of hose required, length of hose needed, gaskets that may be required, step by step instructions, and suggestions:

Rob Robinette's site:

http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobinette/hoses.htm

Max Cooper's site:

http://www.maxcooper.com/rx7/how-to/..._materials.htm

Dave Disney's site (go to the link then click How-To, then click the vacuum hose replacement):

What gasket did you buy? If it was the manifold gasket you didn't need to replace it unless it was an old cork one.

Only $1k in a week and a half? You must not have been really trying! Get used to high parts prices and poor service at the Mazda dealer. Just the price to pay for owning an FD.
